Serving Bangkok from our Pattaya HQ
We are a six-person team in Pattaya delivering email marketing for Bangkok businesses through a mix of remote operations and on-site visits — not a foreign agency working through a translator.
Pattaya City, Bang Lamung
Chon Buri 20150, Thailand
Bangkok by district
Bangkok isn't a single search market. Each district has its own competitive landscape and search behaviour.
Sukhumvit (Asok, Phrom Phong, Thonglor, Ekkamai)
Bangkok's English-search heart — expat condos, premium F&B, dental and aesthetic clinics, serviced offices. We win with station-level long-tail ("Asok dentist", "Phrom Phong international school") + Wongnai presence in Thai. Broad Sukhumvit terms are too crowded; the station-level layer converts.
Sathorn
Corporate finance Bangkok — banks, accounting and law firms, MNC headquarters. Professional services compete on credibility (named-author bylines, regulatory citations, business-press links), not design. Our Sathorn work leans toward LinkedIn-cohort content and Thai business-press placements.
Silom
Finance by day, hospitality and nightlife by night. We run two parallel content tracks for Silom clients — daytime B2B in English for finance/law buyers + nighttime F&B in Thai for the bar and restaurant SERP. Same brand, different audiences.
Bang Rak
Old-town Bangkok along Charoen Krung — heritage hotels (Mandarin Oriental, Shangri-La), jewellery trade, creative district. SERP rewards story-driven editorial coverage, not aggressive keyword targeting. Bang Rak buyers expect a brand to feel rooted.
Ratchada (Ratchadaphisek)
Chinese-Thai business spine — mid-tier hotels, the relocated train night market, Thai-Chinese restaurants, embassies. Heavy Thai-language SERP with a meaningful Chinese-source overlay (Baidu, Xiaohongshu). We add simplified-Chinese mirror pages where PRC buyer demand is confirmed.
Ari
Hipster Bangkok — cafés, coworking, design studios, mid-tier creative agencies, millennial Thai professionals. Long-tail Thai queries and Wongnai presence carry the SERP; Instagram/TikTok feed brand search, not direct ranking. We tune content for specific intent, not head terms.
Pathumwan
Siam shopping district (MBK, Paragon, Central World) + dense retail and beauty cluster. Paid search owns broad terms — we win with long-tail Thai (specific brand + model, specific service + salon) and Google Maps presence rather than fighting paid on head terms.
Phra Khanong
Expanding expat edge — newer condos, On Nut and Phra Khanong BTS stations, W District commercial. Under-served vs upper Sukhumvit means well-built district pages can rank within 6 months. We target On Nut and Phra Khanong specifically, not rolled into a broad Sukhumvit strategy.
Bang Na
Eastern industrial Bangkok — logistics, manufacturing supply, automotive distributors, the Bang Na-Trat highway as a B2B corridor to Suvarnabhumi and the EEC. B2B Thai with technical English for procurement. We work industry-specific long-tail ("cold storage Bang Na", "automotive parts distributor Bang Na"), not head terms.
Chatuchak
JJ Market + surrounding wholesale + weekend tourism + North Bangkok residential. Heavy platform overlay (Lazada, Shopee, Facebook Marketplace) competes with own-site. We work brands using JJ as a flagship physical presence, converting that traffic into direct-to-consumer search demand.
Lat Phrao
North Bangkok residential at scale — Central Plaza Lat Phrao as anchor, dense condo and townhouse development, middle-income Thai professional families. Thai-language SERP with thin English coverage from competitors means properly built Thai content ranks unusually well. Clinics, schools, F&B, home services.
Bang Lamphu and Khao San
Backpacker Bangkok — hostels, budget hotels, street food, tattoo studios, tour agencies, heritage neighbourhoods. TripAdvisor and Google Maps drive bookings more than direct search; the content strategy reflects that. Hostel and tour operator clients we work via OTA + aggregator alongside SERP.
Industries we work with in Bangkok
Each Bangkok industry has different search behaviour and competitive density. We adapt strategy per vertical.
BTS-corridor hotels and serviced apartments
Direct competition with Booking, Agoda, Expedia on every hotel query. OTA dependency eats 15-25% of room revenue. We work the long-tail (neighbourhood + amenity, e.g. "Phrom Phong serviced apartment monthly"), brand-source content, and a structured loyalty offer that earns direct bookings.
Sathorn-area finance and accounting firms
YMYL territory — Google holds finance pages to a higher evidence bar than general commercial content. Named-author bylines with credentials, regulatory citations, partner LinkedIn profiles, and Thai business-press placements feed E-E-A-T signals more than backlink count alone.
Bangkok-based e-commerce (Lazada/Shopee plus own-site)
Parallel marketplace + own-site presence with budget tension between them. Our own-site work for Bangkok e-commerce focuses on category-specific long-tail and review-rich product pages that beat the Lazada/Shopee listing in SERP, plus brand search that converts marketplace shoppers into direct.
Pratunam wholesale and B2B trading
B2B SERP driven by Thai-language buyer queries plus a steady Chinese, Vietnamese, and Cambodian cross-border buyer base searching in their own scripts. Pantip mentions and Facebook group threads carry unusual weight. Thai content first, with simplified-Chinese mirror pages for brands with confirmed PRC demand.
BPO and call centres
Selling internationally — your buyer is a procurement manager in Sydney, Singapore, or San Francisco, not a Thai SME. The relevant SERP is global English long-tail. We run LinkedIn-cohort content, named-leader thought leadership, and English long-tail blogs built for international decision-makers.
Real estate and condo developers
Highest-CPC vertical in Bangkok, paid-cluttered SERPs. Head-term organic share is suppressed; the long-tail (specific building name, BTS station + condo, expat-targeted rental terms) is wide open and often more qualified. We segment by buyer language (Thai / English / Chinese) and build three parallel content layers.
Bangkok medical tourism
Bumrungrad, Bangkok Hospital, Samitivej, BNH compete for inbound patients from GCC, ASEAN, and increasingly China. YMYL content under regulation; doctor profile pages, treatment-specific landing pages, language-segmented patient testimonials. GBP review management is unusually high-leverage — international patients filter heavily by review count and rating.
SEO in Bangkok: the business landscape
Bangkok is the most competitive search market in Thailand, and it is not close. Almost every commercial category has 20 or more active SEO-investing competitors fighting for page-one positions, and a handful at the top of each vertical have budgets that no SME can match head-on. Bangkok Bank, AIS, Lazada TH, CP Group and the major property developers occupy the broad commercial queries — fighting them directly is not a strategy, it is a way to burn a year of retainer with nothing to show.
The Bangkok SERP is bilingual in a way that most other Thai cities are not. The same intent will produce a different page-one result set in Thai than it does in English, often with different competitors, different snippet formats, and different supporting content (Pantip threads, Wongnai reviews, LINE OpenChat links). A Bangkok client who only invests in one language is leaving half the demand uncovered. We have seen English-only Bangkok sites lose 40 to 60 percent of qualified search volume to Thai-language competitors that the client never saw, because they were never looking at the Thai SERP.
What's different about ranking in Bangkok vs other Thai cities
The Bangkok SERP behaves differently from any other Thai city we work in. The differences are structural, not stylistic, and they have to inform strategy from day one.
The bilingual SERP is real
The same intent surfaces a different result set in Thai than in English, often with different competitors. A Bangkok client who only builds in one language is leaving the other half of demand to a competitor who may not even know the client exists. In smaller Thai cities, Thai-language SERP dominance is total and the English layer barely matters. In Bangkok, both matter, and they need parallel content.
Paid clutter pushes organic below the fold
Bangkok has the highest CPC in Thailand by a wide margin in finance, real estate, healthcare, and high-end retail. Head-term organic results often sit below four paid ads, a map pack, a featured snippet, and a People Also Ask. Organic share of click on broad queries can be in the single digits. The long-tail is where organic still wins, which is why our Bangkok strategies almost always lead with long-tail.
How we approach Bangkok clients specifically
We are honest with Bangkok prospects that we are a Pattaya team. Pattaya is 90 minutes from Bangkok by motorway and we structure our Bangkok engagement model around that.
In-person quarterly reviews
We drive in. Clients do not drive out. The full project team comes to the client office once a quarter for a working session — strategy review, deliverable walkthrough, next-quarter planning. No charge to travel; it is built into the retainer.
On-site workshops on demand
If a Bangkok client needs a content workshop with their internal marketing team, a sales-enablement session, or a stakeholder briefing, we send the relevant team members to the client office. We bill for the workshop but not for the travel.
Thai-native content production
Our content team is Thai-native. Thai-language Bangkok pages are written, not translated. We do not use machine-translated English content with light editing — Bangkok competitors who do this are visible from the first paragraph, and Google increasingly is too.
Audit-first methodology
We do not sell a Bangkok engagement before we audit the site. Free 24-48 hour audit covers technical baseline, current keyword footprint, top-10 competitor benchmarking, and a 90-day plan with named deliverables. If the audit shows we are not the right fit, we will say so and refer.
Email Marketing in Bangkok — frequently asked
What Bangkok business owners actually ask us before starting a email marketing engagement.
Can you actually rank for [SEO](/seo) Bangkok?
Honest answer: yes, eventually, but the timeline is 12 to 18 months minimum and the cost to compete with the incumbents on that head term is high. We will not lead a Bangkok engagement with SEO Bangkok as the target — we will lead with the queries underneath it (district plus industry, station plus service, Thai-language long-tail) that convert faster and feed topical authority back up to the head term. By the time we are pushing on SEO Bangkok specifically, the client is usually already getting most of their qualified traffic from the long-tail.
How long until I rank in Bangkok?
Low-competition district plus niche queries can rank within 3 to 6 months with a properly built page and a reasonable backlink layer. Broad commercial queries in finance, real estate, and healthcare run 12 to 18 months. Hospitality and F&B in specific Sukhumvit stations sit in between. We give a per-keyword timeline in the 90-day plan rather than a single Bangkok number, because the variance across categories is too wide for a generic answer.
Do I need Thai-language content if my customers are English-speakers?
Often, yes. Even Bangkok expats Google in Thai for some service categories — clinics, household services, food delivery, real estate — because the Thai SERP returns more local results faster. An English-only Bangkok site is invisible to expats running Thai queries on Maps and Google. We typically recommend at minimum a Thai-language home page, service pages, and Google Business Profile description, even for English-speaking customer bases.
What about LINE? Does it affect [SEO](/seo)?
Indirectly. LINE is not a search engine and LINE OpenChat threads do not directly feed Google. But LINE shapes how Bangkok customers expect to be contacted, and a Bangkok site without a visible LINE button loses conversions from qualified search traffic at a rate we can measure. Add LINE buttons to the site, list LINE as a contact channel on Google Business Profile, and treat the LINE OA as part of the conversion funnel that SEO feeds.
My competitor's website is awful but they outrank me. Why?
Usually three reasons in combination: brand-volume signal (people Google their name), domain age (they have been indexed longer), and backlink profile (they have more referring domains or stronger ones). Bad design does not stop a site from ranking — Google reads structured signals more than visual quality. The fix is not to out-design the competitor but to out-signal them on brand, age (you cannot fix this directly, but you can offset with topical depth), and links.
Do I really need Google Business Profile if I'm not a brick-and-mortar?
Yes, for Bangkok. GBP feeds the map pack and the local pack, both of which appear on Bangkok SERPs for many service-business queries that are not strictly geographic. A Bangkok service business without a GBP loses the map pack entirely to competitors who have one. Even a serviced-office-only business should have GBP set up, verified, and actively managed. > Our team is in Pattaya, roughly under two hours by road from Bangkok.
