WordPress Development Service

We work with WordPress because it’s pragmatic — flexible enough for almost any project, supported by a huge ecosystem, and old enough that nobody’s going to rewrite it. We do not work with Elementor, Divi, or any other heavy page builder. Lean code, custom blocks, real maintainability.

What we build on WordPress

Marketing sites, e-commerce stores, membership platforms, custom CRM-style tools, agency portfolios, multi-language regional sites. If WordPress can host it sensibly (and most things can), we can build it. Where WordPress is the wrong tool — high-throughput SaaS, real-time apps — we’ll tell you so before we take the project.

Custom theme and plugin development

We build custom themes using Gutenberg and server-rendered blocks. No page builder dependencies. No “starter theme + drop-in plugins” Frankenstein. The result is a site that loads in under a second, has zero plugin conflicts, and your future developer can actually read.

For features that don’t belong in the theme, we build custom plugins. CPTs, REST endpoints, admin tools, third-party integrations — written cleanly, tested, and shipped as proper WordPress plugins (not theme functions.php dumps).

Pricing: $50–80 per hour for custom dev, or fixed-quote for clearly scoped projects. Most marketing-site rebuilds run $2,500–8,000.

Security — virus removal and hardening

WordPress sites get hacked. The plugins are the usual culprit — outdated, abandoned, or malicious. Our virus removal service covers full malware scan (with both server-side scanners and a manual code review), removal of injected scripts and database backdoors, file integrity restoration, and post-clean hardening so the same hole does not get exploited again. Typical turnaround: 24–48 hours.

Standard hardening pass after every clean: latest WordPress + plugins, file permissions audit, wp-config secrets rotation, login URL change, two-factor authentication, brute-force rate limiting at the server level, malware scanner installed for ongoing monitoring.

Server configuration with Webmin

For self-hosted clients (VPS, dedicated server), we set up the full stack — Nginx or LiteSpeed, PHP-FPM, MariaDB or MySQL, Redis cache, daily backups, SSL via Let’s Encrypt or Cloudflare, monitoring dashboards. Webmin gives you a clean web UI to manage it all without touching the command line.

One-off server build: from $250. Monthly server-management plan: from $80/month.

Performance — speed and Core Web Vitals

Most WordPress sites are slow because they’re carrying years of plugin debris. A typical optimisation pass: audit plugin list (delete the unnecessary, replace the bloated), implement page + object caching, compress + lazy-load images, minify CSS/JS, switch to a CDN, fix render-blocking resources. Result: LCP under 1.5 seconds and Core Web Vitals all green. Most sites move from a Lighthouse score of 40 to 90+ in a single 2-week engagement.

E-commerce

For shops we build on WooCommerce when budgets are tight, or on a custom mini-cart inside a plugin when the product catalogue is small and the team wants total control. We do not push WooCommerce when it’s the wrong tool — sometimes a Stripe Payment Link plus a clean product page outperforms a full cart.

WordPress development FAQ

How much does custom WordPress development cost? Marketing-site rebuilds typically $2,500–8,000. Plugin development $1,500–6,000 depending on complexity. Hourly $50–80. We always quote upfront, no surprises.

What’s the difference between a theme and a plugin developer? Themes control how the site looks and is structured; plugins add functionality. We do both, often together.

Can WordPress sites be hacked? Yes — most attacks come through outdated plugins. Our hardening pass closes the common holes; ongoing maintenance keeps them closed.

Is WooCommerce free? The core is free; specific extensions (advanced shipping, subscriptions) are paid. Total monthly cost depends on which extensions you actually need.
