Sanjeev (our developer) builds to the same standards Anthropic, GitHub, and Stripe use internally — code review on every commit, automated tests for plugin logic, SCA security scans, type-checked PHP where possible. We don’t ship code we wouldn’t want to maintain ourselves.

For client engagements, you receive: a private GitHub repository with full commit history, a staging environment that mirrors production, deployment via Git pull (not FTP), automated daily backups, and a rollback procedure documented in your client wiki.

Why not Elementor or page builders?

Page builders ship 1-2 MB of CSS and JavaScript on every page load to render content that should render in 30 KB. They make sites slower, harder to optimize for Core Web Vitals, and create vendor lock-in. The Backlink Hut site you’re on right now uses zero page builders, zero theme dependency, just our custom plugin and a minimal CSS file. Page weight: under 80 KB. LCP: under 1.2 seconds.

Engagement structure

Fixed-scope projects (e.g. “build a 30-page site”) are quoted upfront with milestones. Ongoing development (custom plugins, retainers for in-house dev) is billed hourly or monthly. We sign NDAs and are happy to be added to your existing GitHub organization.

Do you maintain sites you didn’t build?

Yes. We start with a code audit, document the existing setup, then maintain or refactor as needed. Sites built on poorly-coded themes may need a 1-2 week stabilization phase before regular maintenance.

Can you migrate from Shopify or Wix?

Yes. Migration scope depends on size: a 50-product Shopify store typically takes 2 weeks. We preserve product URLs via 301 redirects so you don’t lose SEO equity.

What’s your rate for custom plugin development?

Quoted by project. Small plugins (single-feature, no admin UI) start around $800. Mid-size (5-10 features, admin UI, integrations) typically $3,000-$8,000. Larger client-specific builds quoted after scoping.
